Chilliwack Sunflower Festival

When Tulips of the Valley announced they would be hosting a Sunflower festival at the end of August, I instantly knew that this would be the next big thing to hit the Lower Mainland. Giant sunflowers, corn fields, food trucks, photo opps, games and activities galore. This place exceeded all of my expectations. We could have easily spent half a day here, there was so much to see and do! The Bonus? It's much easier to get a photo away from the crowds with all the paths through the sunflowers! It's easy to carve out a space for your photo op :)

Exploring The Sunshine Coast // The Backeddy Resort in Egmont, BC

A few weeks ago, I hopped on a ferry with my friend Amelia for a few relaxing days in a geodome at Backeddy Resort and Marina. I've been eyeing these domes for over a year now, so finally seeing them in person was a dream come true! As we set off in the moody weather from Horseshoe Bay, the anticipation grew for our off-the-grid experience awaiting us at the other end.

Exploring Mayne Island

Mayne Island is full of treasures and beauty around every corner. They say the deer population outnumbers the residents on this island, and after spotting numerous deer around each and every bend in the road, I would say this is a fair assumption!

Tulips of the Valley // Chilliwack, BC Tulip Festival

Last night, I grabbed my dear friend Jessica and drove out to Chilliwack to frolic amongst some incredible tulips. We had bought our tickets a week earlier, and the weather came through with some gorgeous sunny rays for our time at the fields. Tulips of the Valley might not be the most well-known tulip festival in the valley, but it is the largest festival currently in the lower mainland!
